How many days it takes to get pregnant after intercourse?
We are trying since couple months and im always curious how long the body actually takes for it to happen after. Like does conception happen same day or takes few days? just want to understand the timing.
My doctor explained that fertilisation can happen within a day of ovulation, but implantation takes around 6 to 10 days after. So it isnt instant. Thats also why a test only shows positive after the missed period, not right after.
I had the same question when we started trying. Apparently it can take several days for everything to actually happen inside, not immediately. So patience till the missed period is the only way to know.
Its not a same day thing. Conception lines up with your ovulation, then it takes about a week or so to implant. You'll only really know after your period is late and you test.
From what I read, timing around ovulation matters most, and then implantation takes roughly a week after. So theres a gap of several days before you'd even get a positive test. Tracking ovulation helped me understand my cycle better.
