How many days to miss period before pregnancy test?

My period is late by 2 days now and im so tempted to test already but scared of false result. We have been trying for a while. How many days should i actually wait to get accurate answer?

Wait till u actually miss the period, then a day or two after gives the clearest result. Testing before the due date usually shows false negative. Use first morning urine for best accuracy.

The hcg hormone needs to build up enough to detect, so waiting at least a day after your missed period is ideal. If it shows negative but period still doesnt come, retest after 3-4 days. Morning sample is most reliable.

We were so eager too. I read its best to wait till the period is actually late by a day and use the morning urine. If it stays unclear, a blood test at the lab gives a sure answer.

I tested the day my period was due and got negative, panicked, then positive 3 days later. So my advice, give it a few days after missing, dont torture urself with too early testing like I did.
