First pregnancy here and I keep hearing terms like dating scan, anomaly scan, doppler and im getting confused matlab how many scans are there in total? just want to know what all to expect through these 9 months. someone explain pls.
Haan, pure pregnancy me lagbhag 4 ya 5 scans hote hain na. Har trimester ke apne important tests hote hain to check baby's development. Doctor jo kahe bas vahi karvana.
Think of it as baby's photoshoot sessions! Haha. You get about 4 main ones, starting from 'is there a baby?' to 'how big is the baby now?' before delivery.
In my journey, I had about 4 main ultrasounds. The early dating scan, NT scan around 12 weeks, the detailed anomaly scan at 20 weeks, and then a growth scan near the end. They are all very important.
Keep it simple: you have the Dating scan (first 8 weeks), NT scan (11-13 weeks), Anomaly scan (around 18-20 weeks), and Growth scan (third trimester). These 4 are the standard ones.
Medically, the standard ones are Dating scan, NT/NB scan for abnormalities, TIFFA/Anomaly scan, and the final Growth scan with Doppler if needed. Your gynac will schedule them based on your weekly progress.
Beta, vaise toh 3-4 main scan hote hain pure pregnancy me. Doctor har bade badlav pe check karte hain ki baby thik hai ya nahi. Darna mat, sab accha hoga.
I totally understand how emotional each scan can be, seeing that tiny heartbeat is beautiful. Mainly there are about 4 to 5 scans starting from dating scan to anomaly and growth scans.
When I was staying with my parents, my mother made sure I never missed a single scan. There are usually 4 main ones that doctors recommend to check the baby's health at different stages.
Looking back, those scans were the only times I could relax seeing my baby. You'll have around 4 main ultrasounds, but sometimes doctors do extra ones if they need to monitor something closer.
