How many ultrasounds are done in pregnancy in india?

First pregnancy and i already had 2 scans till now in my second trimester. Just want to know roughly how many more my gynac will ask for through the whole pregnancy so i can plan. What was it like for you all?

For both my pregnancies it was around 3 to 4 main scans. Early dating one, then NT scan around 11-13 weeks, anomaly scan around 20 weeks, and a growth scan later. If everything normal thats usually it.

Generally 3-5 depending on your pregnancy. A normal low risk one needs fewer, but if doctor wants to keep an eye on something it can be more. Best to follow whatever your gynac schedules for you.

At my hospital they gave me a printed pregnancy plan with all scan dates marked. I think it was 4 scans plus one extra near the end. Ask the front desk for the package details, they explain it clearly.

Mine were 4 in total and each scan was around 1500-2500 depending on the centre. I planned for it in advance so it didnt hit at once. Ask ur hospital for the full list early so u can budget na.

My doctor said standard is around 3 essential scans but it can be more if they want to monitor something like position or fluid. She also reminded me ultrasounds in india have rules, no gender disclosure, its illegal, so dont even ask.
