I keep seeing months and weeks both and it is confusing me. My app says one thing and family calculates months differently from last period. How do you all count the full pregnancy weeks?
I learnt it's about 40 weeks, and they count from your last period start, which confused me at first because that's before you even conceive! Anyone else find the week counting confusing in the beginning?
My gynac explained it's calculated as 40 weeks from the last menstrual period, divided into three trimesters of about 13 weeks each. Anything from 37 weeks onwards is considered full term. The scan also helps confirm the dating early on.
My tracker app showed it as 40 weeks split into three trimesters. It updated every week which I loved. Just remember the due date is an estimate, babies come on their own timing, mine came at 39 weeks.
Full term pregnancy is around 40 weeks, counted from the first day of your last period. Most babies arrive anywhere between 37 and 42 weeks though, so the due date is more of an estimate than an exact day.
