How much amount of sperm is required for pregnancy?
We've been trying for a few months now without luck and this doubt keeps coming to my mind. My husband is doing his report soon but till then i just wanted to understand this better. Anyone knows?
Honestly one healthy ejaculation has millions of sperm, only one needs to reach the egg. So it is quality and timing more than amount. A simple semen analysis sorts out most of these questions.
It is not really about the amount of fluid, it is the count and quality of sperm that matters. Doctors usually look at the semen analysis numbers. If u and ur partner are trying for a while, get that test done, it tells the real picture.
Dont overthink the exact numbers, beta. Focus on timing around ovulation and a healthy lifestyle for both of u. If it doesnt happen in a few months, then see a doctor for proper tests.
We had this same doubt when we started trying. I felt shy asking but the gynac explained it is the sperm health that counts, not the quantity. It really helped to just ask rather than worry quietly.
