How much sunflower seeds to eat per day during pregnancy?
Started keeping a mix of seeds for snacking since everyone says they are healthy. But im not sure how much is actually okay in a day, dont want to overdo it. Im in my 5th month. Anyone who had seeds regularly during pregnancy?
A small handful daily is plenty, no need to overload. I just sprinkled some on my poha or curd. Variety is better than eating loads of one seed, mix it with pumpkin and melon seeds.
I kept it to about a tablespoon as part of my snack mix, they're nice for energy. Just remember they're rich, so a little goes a long way. If you have any specific diet plan, run the quantity by your doctor.
I used to take a small handful a day mixed with other seeds, like a little spoonful, not more. They're good for healthy fats but they're calorie dense so a small amount is enough. My app counted them in my snack portions.
Honestly you dont need a big expensive seed mix, just a small handful of sunflower seeds a day does the job. I bought a small packet and it lasted ages. Cheap and good.
