How much weight should i gain during pregnancy in kg?
Im 5 months now and already gained around 6kg, my MIL keeps saying im eating too much haha. Just curious how much total weight gain is okay for the full 9 months. What did you ladies put on by the end?
They weigh u at every checkup anyway so u dont need to count at home. My doc just wanted steady increase, no sudden jumps. Sudden big weight gain is what they actually watch for, so just go regularly.
Every body is different so dont compare with others. Some gain more, some less, both fine as long as baby is growing well. Trust ur doctor on the number for u.
My gynac told me it depends on ur starting weight, but for normal BMI its roughly 11 to 16 kg over the whole pregnancy. She said dont focus on a fixed number, focus on steady gain. Ask urs to tell ur personal target.
Dont stress about exact kg yaar. Both my pregnancies I gained different amounts and both babies were healthy. Eat well, dont overeat for two, and let ur doctor track it at each visit.
I keep worrying I'm gaining too fast in 2nd trimester, anyone else felt this? My doc said most gain happens later and its normal. Still I asked her my target so I feel less anxious now.
For me with PCOS my doc was a bit more careful about weight so she gave me a specific range. So honestly it really varies person to person, best to ask ur own gynac instead of going by a general number.
