I'm in my first trimester, and the nausea is really getting to me. I feel sick almost all the time. What can I do to avoid or reduce this nausea feeling during pregnancy? Any home remedies or tips would be helpful.
I just went through this severe nausea phase. What worked best for me was sucking on hard orange candies and eating dry toast in the morning. Avoid oily ghar ka khana for a few weeks if the smell triggers you.
Don't keep an empty stomach, that is the biggest trigger. Have small meals every two hours and sip on cold water or lemonade. If it gets severe, directly ask your gynac for safe medicine.
Keep some dry biscuits by your bed and eat one before you even open your eyes! Otherwise, the morning sickness will introduce itself very quickly, haha. Lemon juice also helps.
Personally, drinking fennel tea (saunf pani) in the morning worked wonders for my nausea. I also avoided cooking smells as much as possible. It usually gets better after the first trimester.
Nausea can be very exhausting, please take complete rest. I used to sip warm ginger water slowly throughout the day. If you cannot keep any food or liquids down, please consult your doctor immediately to stay safe.
