Writing this as the husband actually. My wife is 7 weeks pregnant and tired and emotional most days, and i genuinely dont always know how to help beyond bringing food. Would love to hear what little things your partners did that made u feel cared for.
Practical stuff matters most yaar. Help with chores, dont let her lift heavy things, come for doctor visits, keep her food and water on time. And honestly just listen without trying to fix everything, mood swings are real.
What I felt most grateful for was the small things, my husband rubbing my back when I couldnt sleep, getting me food at odd hours when I was nauseous. He never complained. Those little moments made the hard days easier.
Take some load off her plate. Pregnancy plus running a home plus maybe job is a lot. Help cook, manage appointments, learn what shes going through so you get it. Reading a bit about the trimesters genuinely helps him understand.
I get anxious a lot and my husband just reassuring me calmly helps so much. Did other husbands also read pregnancy stuff? Mine started doing that and it made me feel like Im not alone in this. That emotional support is everything honestly.
Aww this question itself is so sweet, the fact that hes asking. Honestly just being present means everything. I totally felt loved when my husband came to scans, listened to my random worries and didnt make me feel like a burden when I was emotional.
Be patient and calm, thats the biggest thing. My husband would just sit with me and ask how I feel daily. Also stand by her with family pressure if any, that support means so much. Attend the doctor visits together too.
Step one, never ever say you look tired, lol. Jokes apart, just be her snack delivery service, her foot massager and her safe space to cry over silly things. Show up and dont take the mood swings personally, youll be a hero.
