Got my positive test recently and so excited to know the due date. Bohot confused about how to count it from last period. can someone explain how the edd is calculated simply?
Arey simple hai, 1st day of last period se ginte hain na. But tum doctor ke paas jaogi toh woh scan dekh kar sabse sahi EDD bata denge, chinta mat karo.
I used to track every single day hoping the date was accurate, but realized later it's just an estimate. Your doctor will do an ultrasound in the first trimester which gives the most precise due date.
First day of your last period (LMP) me 9 months and 7 days add kar lo, dear. Simple calculation hai, but doctor scan ke basis pe humesha correct date bata dete hain, so don't take stress.
Just use any online pregnancy calculator, no need to do complex maths while dealing with pregnancy brain! My doctor eventually changed my date by a week after the dating scan anyway.

The LMP method is standard, but in my case, the 12-week scan gave a much more accurate date. Babies rarely arrive exactly on the EDD anyway, mine came 10 days early!
