Just got my positive test and everyone keeps asking my due date but honestly im confused how its even counted. Do u go by last period or the scan date? Pls explain in simple words.
My mother used to count old style by moon months haha. But trust me the dating scan in first trimester gives the real EDD, my gynac relied on that fully.
Simple way they count is from first day of ur last period, add 280 days. But honestly the scan date is more accurate, my gynac changed my EDD by 5 days after first sonography.

Basic formula is LMP plus 40 weeks, but it assumes regular 28 day cycle. If ur cycle is irregular like mine, the period method is off, so let the doctor fix the date from early scan.
Haan it's from last period date na, add 280 din. But mera cycle irregular tha so doc went only by scan. EDD is just an estimate anyway, baby aata hai apne time pe.
