Doc gave me a due date but im curious about the actual conception date. My cycle wasnt very regular that month so im not sure how to count it back. Anyone know how this is calculated?
In natural pregnancies, pinpointing the exact conception date can be tricky since sperm can live inside for a few days. For my IVF journey, we knew the exact transfer date, which was a blessing. I know tracking everything can be overwhelming, so please don't stress too much about the exact day.
From my experience, trying to guess the exact day of conception just causes unnecessary stress! Your doctor will easily figure out your gestational age during your first scan. Just focus on taking your prenatal pills and enjoying these early days.
The exact day is a beautiful secret of nature, but doctors usually calculate it from the first day of your last period. Just stay positive and don't worry about the exact calendar date. Take care of your health and let the baby grow beautifully.
Beta, don't get too confused with all these calculations. Just remember the date of your last period and tell your doctor, they have a special wheel to calculate the due date. Eat well, have some fresh coconut water daily, and let your body stay calm.
Most doctors will count your pregnancy weeks from your Last Menstrual Period (LMP) rather than the actual conception date because it's hard to know when fertilization happened. Since dating scans are crucial for tracking growth, please consult your gynac and get an early dating ultrasound done. It is the most accurate way to know.
