How to calculate the first trimester of pregnancy?
Just found out im pregnant and everyone keeps asking which trimester. I get confused with all the week counting. How exactly do we figure out the first trimester, from period date or something else?
I was confused by this too! So basically from last period day to week 12. I'm in my 10th week now, almost done with first trimester. The early scan told me my exact dates.
Easiest way, put your last period start date into any pregnancy app and it shows your week and trimester instantly. First trimester is week 1 to 12. I used an app the whole time, super handy for tracking milestones.
First trimester is from week 1 to the end of week 12, sometimes counted till 13. Doctors count from the first day of your last period, not from conception. So your due date and weeks all start from that LMP date. The scan confirms exact weeks.
Count from the first day of your last period. Week 1 to week 12 is your first trimester. Many people confuse it with conception date but doctors always go by last period. Your dating scan will fine tune it.
