Im 11 weeks and so impatient to hear my baby's heartbeat. My next scan is still 2 weeks away na, so just curious how it actually gets checked. Is it only on the ultrasound or is there some other way doctors do it? Pls share.
The baby's heartbeat is usually first seen on ultrasound around 6 to 7 weeks. Later your doctor uses a doppler at visits to hear it. My gynac said home gadgets can give false worry, so it is best left to the clinic checks.
At the clinic they check it through scan first and then doppler in later months. Honestly I wouldnt buy a home doppler, it stressed a friend of mine when she couldnt find it. Just go by your scheduled checkups.
Hearing the heartbeat at my scan was the most beautiful moment, I cried. I sometimes want to check at home but everyone says leave it to the doctor. Did others also feel anxious between appointments?
