My dadi doesnt trust the kit much and keeps talking about old ayurvedic ways to know if youre pregnant. Im curious if theres really any method like that. Has anyone tried, just out of interest?
I respect ayurveda but for actually confirming pregnancy I would trust a urine test kit or a blood test. Ayurvedic care can be lovely for diet and general wellbeing during pregnancy. For the confirmation part though, a doctor is the safest.
I lean towards natural things too, and ayurveda has nice guidance for pregnancy diet and care. But for detecting pregnancy itself, the modern test is just more accurate. Use ayurveda for your overall health journey and let the test confirm the news.
I tracked my cycle on an app so I noticed the delay early. Combined with a home kit it gave me a clear answer fast. Ayurveda is great for wellness, but for actual checking the app plus a test worked best for me.
In our town also some old aunties tell signs by looking at the face and tiredness. But these are just guesses dear. Do one simple test from medical shop and visit doctor, it is cheap and clear.
My grandmother used to talk about pulse reading and body signs in our family. It's beautiful tradition, but when I actually wanted to be sure, I went with a kit and then gynac confirmation. Maybe use ayurveda alongside, not instead of the test.
Beta the elders used to look at signs like missed period, tiredness, change in taste. Some old methods exist in ayurveda but honestly they are not reliable for confirming. Best to do a simple test and then meet a doctor, that gives peace of mind.
