How to determine pregnancy due date without period?
My periods have always been super irregular so I honestly have no idea when my last one was. Test came positive last week and now gynac is asking LMP date which i just cant give. How do they figure out due date in such cases?
When my dates were unclear, my gynac relied on the early ultrasound to set the due date. She said the scan measurements in the first trimester are quite accurate for dating. So even without a clear period date, the dating scan sorts it out.
With PCOS my periods were all over the place so I couldnt go by my last period either. My doctor used the early scan to date the pregnancy, which worked well. If your cycles are irregular like mine, just rely on the ultrasound, dont stress about not knowing.
No clear period date, no problem, the early scan gives the due date accurately. Just get the dating ultrasound done and the doctor calculates from there. Simple.
