I want to add more protein but paneer feels heavy sometimes. I usually eat it in sabzi or bhurji, but then acidity starts. Any easy ways you ate paneer while pregnant?
Paneer is great for protein and calcium in pregnancy, just make sure its fresh and properly cooked. I always had it grilled or in sabzi, never raw. Avoid the loose unbranded one if you are unsure about freshness.
Paneer was my comfort food the whole pregnancy haha. Paneer bhurji, palak paneer, grilled tikka, all yum and full of protein. Just keep it cooked and fresh and enjoy, dont have it cold and raw.
Homemade paneer is cheaper and you know its fresh, so I started making it at home from milk. Cook it well in sabzi and its a solid protein source without spending much. Worked great for me.
Main thing is cook it well and use pasteurised or homemade paneer. Cooked paneer is totally safe and nutritious. Just stay away from raw or unpasteurised soft cheese types during pregnancy, those are the ones to skip.
