How to feel baby heartbeat during pregnancy at home?
I'm so excited and want to connect with my baby. Is there any way to feel the baby's heartbeat at home during pregnancy, or is that only possible with medical equipment?
My MIL said we could hear it by putting an ear to the stomach, but actually that's not possible. You have to wait for your regular ultrasound scans at the clinic to hear that beautiful sound. Don't worry, the doctor will show you!
It's hard to catch the heartbeat at home and trying to find it can sometimes make you anxious, which is bad for your nausea. Just focus on resting well and let your doctor handle the checkups during your visits.
I don't think we can feel the heartbeat at home, but you can definitely feel those sweet baby kicks after eating something sweet or cold! I loved eating a small piece of chocolate just to get those active movements.
At home, you can't really feel or hear it clearly on your own, especially early on. Even with my twins, only the gynac's Doppler could catch it. Don't waste money buying those home dopplers, they just cause unnecessary panic!
You cannot easily feel it at home, but you can feel the baby's presence by talking to them. Just place your hand on your tummy, stay positive, and say your prayers. God is protecting your little one.
I know how reassuring it is to hear that heartbeat, especially after IVF. But home devices are not reliable and can cause a lot of worry if you can't find it. It's much safer to wait for your doctor's clinic visits.
In my experience, I could never hear the heartbeat at home, only during my doctor appointments. I just trusted the regular scans and checkups to know my baby was doing fine.
