Since testing is illegal in India, we can't find out beforehand. Better to buy neutral-colored clothes like yellow, green, or white so they work perfectly for both boys and girls!
I don't know any old wives' tales, but since we can't legally check the gender here, we just waited for the delivery day. The moment they handed me my baby, gender didn't even matter.
The surprise at delivery is the most beautiful, emotional feeling in the world! Since gender testing is illegal here anyway, just enjoy the suspense and pray for a healthy baby.
You can't check the gender in India, it's illegal. But honestly, as long as I get my midnight ice cream cravings sorted, I don't care if it's a boy or a girl!
