My last report showed hb a bit low and the doc looked concerned. Im 5 months along and feeling tired all the time. Apart from the iron tablets, what foods actually helped you raise it? pls share.
My mom made me eat lots of greens and dates and it did help my levels. But my doctor also kept me on iron supplements alongside. Food plus the prescribed tablets together worked best na.
Food helps but if your hb is quite low, please follow your gynac strictly on supplements. Sometimes diet alone isnt enough. Keep getting it retested to track improvement.
Beta in our home we always gave dates, beetroot juice and palak to expecting mothers. It helped raise the blood naturally. But also take the iron your doctor prescribed, dont depend only on food.
Iron rich foods like spinach, dates, jaggery, rajma and beetroot help, along with your prescribed iron tablets. Take them with vitamin C like lemon or amla for better absorption. And keep tea and coffee away from your iron tablet timing.
