How to get rid of abdominal pain during pregnancy?
Around 18 weeks now and getting these mild pulling pains on the sides of my tummy, specially when i turn in bed. its not severe but uncomfortable. i will mention to my doc next visit but wanted to know what helped u all in the meantime?
I'd be careful here. Light gas or stretch pain is one thing, but real abdominal pain with bleeding or fever needs the doctor fast, I learnt that the cautious way. Please dont just take something on your own to mask it.
I used to panic at every little ab pain honestly. Most times it was just gas or the round ligament thing and rest fixed it. But I always messaged my doc if it felt different, and that calmed me. Dont suffer in worry, just ask.
Mild pulling type pain is often just stretching of ligaments, changing position and resting helps. Warm bath and not standing too long worked for me. But sharp, constant or one-sided pain is not the kind to home-treat, call your gynac for that.
Beta for the mild gas wala pain, eat slowly, small meals and walk a little after eating, it helped me a lot. Drink enough water too. But if pain is strong, dont sit at home, go show doctor okay.
My gynac explained that mild cramping from the uterus growing is normal and lying on the left side, hydration and rest ease it. She was clear though, severe pain, pain with bleeding or with fever means come in immediately. So judge by intensity.
