My lower back has been killing me especially by evening, third trimester now and i feel like a wreck. What do you all do for relief? Pillows, stretches, anything that genuinely helped?
A maternity pillow between the knees while sleeping was a game changer for me. Also don't stand too long, wear flat comfy footwear, and a warm compress on the lower back helps. If pain gets sharp or constant, tell your gynac.
During pregnancy my back ached a lot too. Supporting the bump with a pillow and sleeping on the side eased it. Be careful how you get up from bed, roll to the side first, that habit helped me both before and after delivery.
Beta a gentle warm oil massage on the back from someone experienced can soothe it, and a hot water bag. Don't bend suddenly or lift heavy. If the pain is severe or with anything unusual, do see your doctor.
Sitting all day at work killed my back. I started using a small cushion for lumbar support, got up every hour to walk a bit, and avoided heels. Small changes but they add up. Warm bag at night too.
Mild back pain is so common, I had it badly in third trimester. Good posture, not sitting cross legged on floor too long, and a firm pillow support helped. My doctor said it's the weight and hormones, normal. But severe pain, get it checked.
My doctor cleared me for some gentle prenatal stretches and short walks, that really eased my back. Cat-cow type stretches felt good. But only do exercises your own gynac approves, don't copy random videos.
