Im 5 months along and reading about how pregnancy puts extra load on kidneys. Nothing wrong as such but i want to take care from now itself. What all should i be doing, pls share.
It is completely natural to worry about your health during this time, I used to overthink kidney issues too. Staying well-hydrated is the key. Drink plenty of water and don't hold your urine.
Oh, I was so paranoid about kidney infections during my pregnancy! I tracked my water intake constantly. Just keep sipping water throughout the day, and please check with your doctor if you ever feel any burning sensation.
Drinking lots of coconut water and plain water really helped me. I also kept active with light walking, which my doctor said is great for overall circulation and kidney health.
To keep kidneys healthy, water is your best friend. Reduce excess salt in your diet and try to empty your bladder frequently to avoid UTIs, which are common in pregnancy.
I am currently planning my pregnancy and also wondering about this. Does drinking extra water help prevent those painful pregnancy UTIs? Would love to know what worked for everyone.
