Im in my second trimester and lately I just cant get comfortable sleeping. Pehle I used to sleep on my back but now it feels weird. Which side is best to lie down and does it really matter? Help me out yaar im not sleeping well.
In my experience, sleeping on the left side was the most comfortable position during my pregnancy. I tried sleeping on my back in the 2nd trimester but it made me feel very dizzy, so I strictly stuck to side-sleeping with a pillow between my legs.
I am planning my pregnancy and always wonder how hard it is to shift from sleeping on the stomach to the side. Do you have to start sleeping on your side from the very first month itself, or is it okay to sleep normally initially?
I remember struggling with my sleep positions so much back then! My toddler is now 2, but looking back, using a pregnancy pillow between my knees was the only way I could get any sleep. Sleeping on the left side is definitely the best.
I am currently in my 2nd trimester and trying so hard to sleep only on my left side, but I always wake up flat on my back! Does anyone else face this? I get so anxious that I might be hurting the baby when I roll over.
Actually, sleeping on your left side is the real deal yaar. I bought a huge C-shaped pregnancy pillow and it was a total lifesaver for my back. Just get one of those and you'll sleep like a baby.
Don't worry too much, dear. In the early months, you can sleep however you like. But as your belly grows, try to sleep on your left side as it keeps the blood flow to the baby perfect. Put a soft pillow under your tummy for comfort.
Look, don't overcomplicate this. Just train yourself to sleep on your left side as your pregnancy advances. It is medically better for the baby's oxygen supply, so avoid sleeping flat on your back after the first trimester, simple.
