I had severe dizzy spells and fainting because of sudden drops in BP, which was quite risky. My doctor had to change my diet and check my blood work. Pls don't ignore this and consult your gynac to make sure there are no underlying issues.
Dealing with low BP at work is so hard, I used to feel dizzy in meetings. I kept small packs of salt biscuits and a bottle of lemon water with salt at my desk. Taking short breaks to stand up slowly really helped me manage the day.
I am also facing this right now in my 5th month! Sometimes my head spins when I get up from the sofa. Are you guys taking any coconut water or something for this, or should I just wait for my next gynac visit?
My BP was so low that my husband jokingly said I'm acting like a sleepy sloth! But seriously, keep your feet up and eat some salty snacks. It's the perfect excuse to demand extra pampering and breakfast in bed.
Beta, low blood pressure is quite common in these months. Make sure you don't stand up suddenly from the bed or chair. Drink thoda nimbu paani with a pinch of salt and sugar, it works wonders, but keep your doctor informed.
I felt so weak and helpless during my early months because of low BP. I literally used to cry thinking how will I manage. But slowly, eating small meals every two hours and keeping myself hydrated helped me feel human again.
A glass of buttermilk with a little salt always helped me when I felt faint. But honestly, if you are feeling very dizzy or having blurry vision, pls don't try home remedies. Call your gynac immediately to get it checked.
Having gone through a loss, I know how terrifying any symptom can be. If your BP is dropping too low, please don't take any chances or try self-treating. Get a home BP monitor and keep sharing the readings with your doctor regularly.
My doctor at Cloudnine was very strict about checking BP every visit because mine was on the lower side. The nurse told me to keep checking at home and call their helpline immediately if I felt too dizzy. Better to ask your hospital team for a proper plan.
Hey, don't panic, low BP is very common in the first and second trimester because our blood vessels expand. Just make sure you are drinking lots of water and not staying empty stomach for long. Take sweet rest and don't push yourself too hard, okay?
