How to prepare nipples for breastfeeding during pregnancy?
Im in my 7th month and someone in my building said I should start preparing now so feeding becomes easier later. Mere saath this is first baby so I have no idea what to actually do. Did anyone do anything before delivery, or is it not needed?
Oh sweetie, I know exactly how overwhelming this feels. Breastfeeding was such an emotional ride for me, but don't stress too much right now. Honestly, your body prepares itself mostly, just be gentle with yourself. Sending you so much love!
My tracker app actually had a whole week-by-week guide on this! It said your body naturally prepares itself by secreting oils, so no need to scrub hard as it can cause contractions. Just apply a good basic moisturizer or nipple butter if they feel dry. Keep tracking your weeks, it helps a lot!
It's so normal to worry about all this, I used to lose sleep thinking if I'll even be able to feed my baby. Please breathe, you are doing great. Actually, you don't need to do any harsh rubbing or anything, just simple moisturising is enough. Pls don't stress like I did.
I totally understand how much you want to do everything perfectly for your little angel. Mere dil mein bhi yahi chal raha tha during my pregnancy. Just massaging a little coconut oil or ghee after bath helps keep them soft. You are already a wonderful mom, trust your journey.
My mother-in-law told me to rub them with a rough towel to make them tough, but my doctor strictly said no to that. She said gentle washing with water is more than enough. Just trust your gynac's advice and keep it simple, ma. No need to worry so much.
Arey, no need to buy expensive creams or nipple pullers, honestly it's just a waste of money. Use normal ghar ka cold pressed coconut oil, it works the best and costs next to nothing. We have to save up for hospital delivery charges and baby vaccines anyway, so keep it simple!
