My recent urine test showed sugar and now im a little tense about it. Im 26 weeks. Doctor is reviewing but in the meantime i want to know what changes in diet helped others bring it down. Anyone been through this?
Cut down on sweets, fried and refined carbs, add more veggies and protein. Light walking helps a lot too. But honestly this needs proper monitoring, so stay close to your doctor on it.
I had this and my dietician put me on smaller meals, more protein, less sweets and white rice. A short walk after meals really helped my numbers. But please follow your doctors and dieticians plan, dont guess on your own.
Sugar in urine usually means your levels need checking, so first do the tests gynac asks. Diet and gentle activity help, but it has to be guided. Self managing this is risky.
