Please be very careful with leg swelling. While mild swelling is normal, sudden and severe swelling in your feet or face can be a sign of high blood pressure or preeclampsia. I had complications during my delivery, so I always advise everyone to get their BP checked by the gynac if swelling increases suddenly.
When my legs got super swollen in my third trimester, my mum made sure I kept my feet up on a couple of pillows whenever I sat on the sofa. She also gave me warm mustard oil foot massages every night before sleep. Staying with parents during that time was such a blessing.
Uff, those potato feet are so annoying, but don't stress too much, babe! Just put your feet up on your hubby's lap and make him do all the work, haha. Seriously, elevation and lots of water are your best friends right now.
I totally understand how uncomfortable and painful those heavy, swollen legs can feel, dear. It really wears you down, but please remember to give yourself some grace and rest. Keep your feet elevated and let your partner pamper you with a gentle rub.
Beta, dhoop me zyada khade mat raho aur khane me namak thoda kam karo. Shaam ko garm pani me thoda namak daal kar pair duba ke baitho, bohot aaram milega. Par dhyan rakhna, zyada tez maalish mat karwana pairon pe.
According to my pregnancy app, this is called edema and is caused by increased blood volume and fluid retention. The app recommended drinking at least 3 liters of water to flush out the excess sodium and avoiding tight socks. It really worked for me!
Try soaking your feet in warm water with some Epsom salt for 15 minutes, it works wonders naturally! Also, avoid sitting with crossed legs as it blocks blood circulation. But if the swelling is only in one leg or accompanied by severe pain, call your doctor immediately.
