I have thyroid since before pregnancy and now my doc said the levels are a bit high. Im 11 weeks and worried how it affects the baby. Anyone here managed their thyroid during pregnancy, how did u keep it under control?
My gynac explained thyroid levels often need close watching in pregnancy because the dose may need changing as you progress. She had me test every few weeks. Its not something you reduce with home remedies, its managed with the right medicine and monitoring.
I had thyroid through my pregnancy and the main thing is regular testing and taking your medicine exactly as prescribed, never skip or change the dose yourself. My doctor adjusted it a few times based on reports. Please keep up the regular follow ups, thats what keeps it controlled.
Thyroid in pregnancy is important to control properly for the baby too, so please dont try to manage it casually. I was very regular with my tests and my endocrinologist and gynac coordinated. Stick to your doctor's plan strictly.
