At my ghar we mostly sit on floor for eating and pooja and all. Now with the 6 month belly its so hard to get down and up. Whats the safe way to do it without putting pressure?
I remember those days of trying to sit on the floor! It felt impossible sometimes. Don't worry, you'll find your own comfortable way. Soon enough, your little one will be crawling around and you'll be sitting on the floor with them again, just with a different kind of ache! It's all temporary.
Beta, if you're comfortable, you can sit cross-legged with a cushion for support, like we used to do. Just make sure your back is straight. And remember to get up slowly. Our elders always said it helps with flexibility. But if it hurts, don't force it.
Haha, trust me, it becomes an Olympic sport by the third trimester! 😂 I used to slide down onto a pile of cushions like a seal, and then needed help getting back up. Just listen to your body, and maybe invest in a good support pillow!
Oh, I totally understand this struggle! I remember trying to sit on the floor and feeling like a turtle flipped on its back trying to get up again. It's all part of the beautiful, awkward journey. Just be gentle with yourself.
Oh, this is something I've actually been wondering about already! I sit on the floor quite a bit now for work or just to relax. How do you manage it when your belly gets bigger? Do you use a cushion or something?
My gynac specifically advised me on this. She said sitting cross-legged (Sukhasana) is generally fine if comfortable, but avoid positions that put pressure on your belly or restrict blood flow. Use a wedge pillow for back support and ensure your knees are below your hips. Getting up slowly, maybe by rolling to your side first, is also crucial.
