Just entered my first month and im so confused about the right sleeping position. Im a back sleeper usually but now im scared if it harms the baby. Is it too early to worry, ya should i change now? pls guide.
Don't stress too much about sleeping positions in the first month, dear. Your body is doing a lot of work, so just prioritize getting enough hours of rest.
I used to panic thinking sleeping on my tummy would hurt the baby in the first month! But my gynac laughed and said the baby is well protected. Sleep comfortably!
In the first month, just focus on staying calm and rested. I was always scared to sleep on my stomach, so I gently trained myself to sleep on my side. Take sweet care of yourself.
With twins, finding a comfortable spot was a project! In the first month, just sleep on your back or side, whatever lets you sleep before the real exhaustion starts.
Because of my previous complications, my doctor advised sleeping on my side from early on to avoid pressure. If you have any discomfort or pain, do talk to your gynac.
In my family, they suggested sleeping on the left side right from the start. But my doctor said in the first month, any comfortable position is fine. Just rest well and drink warm milk.
Sleep however you can right now because once the belly grows, you will be wrestling with 10 pillows! Just get comfy, sleep on your stomach if you want while you still can.
Keep a check on your energy levels and sleep, and make sure your doctor monitors your thyroid levels if you feel overly fatigued. Regular follow-ups really helped me manage my sleep quality.
