doc told me left side is best now that im in third trimester but i've always been a back sleeper. i keep rolling over in my sleep without realising. how do u all manage to stay on the left side whole night?
I used to wake up in a panic every time I found myself on my back, worrying I was choking the baby! But my doc said it's fine and our bodies are smart. I ended up building a literal wall of five pillows around myself just to stay on the left.
Sleeping on the left is very good because it keeps the blood flow proper for the baby, beta. Keep a soft cotton pillow under your tummy and one behind your hips so you don't roll over. If you feel restless, drink a cup of warm milk before sleeping.
Simple logic: just tuck a thick pillow behind your back so you physically can't roll over to your back. Also, stop overthinking if you wake up on your right side sometimes. Just turn back to the left and sleep quietly.
Koi baat nahi if you roll onto your back in your sleep, your body will naturally wake you up if it's uncomfortable. Try keeping a soft pillow between your knees and one behind your back to support you. It will make staying on the left side so much easier and comfortable.
Actually yaar, buying a proper C-shaped pregnancy pillow was a game-changer for me. I just couldn't stay on my left side otherwise. It literally locks you in place so you don't roll around.
