My baby is 4 months old now and im still carrying a lot of weight around my tummy. I feel so out of shape and none of my old clothes fit. Mommies who lost the weight, how did u do it without affecting feeding? pls share.
Honestly breastfeeding helped me a lot, I lost a good amount just from feeding the baby. Eat well dont starve, you need the energy for milk. Walks with the pram also helped me.
Dont even think about dieting in the first 6 weeks. After your doctor clears you, start with walking, then add light core work. Home cooked simple food, less sugar and patience. It works, just slow.
After my c-section I couldnt do much for a while, even walking properly took time. So I focused on healing first and eating properly. Only after doctor said ok I slowly began movement. Dont compare your timeline to others na.
With work and baby I had no time for gym, so I just did short walks and cut down on outside food. Realistically the weight goes when your routine settles, not overnight. Be patient with yourself.
Once your gynac gives you the go ahead, start really gentle, walks and basic postnatal exercises. The body bounces back better when you dont punish it. Slow and steady, I promise.
Please be gentle with yourself first, your body just did the biggest thing ever. It took me a good 8-9 months to feel like me again. Dont rush, the weight comes off slowly with time.
