We have decided to try after a few months and I want to prepare properly. I don't know whether to meet gynac first, start tracking cycle, or do blood tests. How did you begin planning?
First step is a preconception checkup with your gynac, they check thyroid, hemoglobin, sugar and start you on folic acid. Getting those sorted before conceiving genuinely makes a difference. Doctor guidance early is the smartest move.
Along with health, also plan the money side, the preconception tests, regular scans and delivery add up. We made a small fund before starting. Folic acid and a checkup first, then build from there practically.
We're at this stage too. We began with both of us doing basic health tests and improving diet and sleep. Felt a bit shy asking the doctor at first but she was so normal about it. Just take the first step, it gets easier.
We just started planning too! What helped us, started folic acid after asking the doctor, cut down on junk and caffeine, and tracked my cycle to know my fertile days. Taking it slow and steady without pressure.
With PCOS I'd say get your cycles and hormones checked first, it really helps to know where you stand before trying. My doctor put me on a plan and that made things smoother. Everyone's start point is different, so a checkup first is wise.
