Im asking more as an elder sister, worried about awareness for young girls in our family. Nobody talks openly about these things at home. What are the right ways to prevent it that i can actually explain to her?
Honestly the biggest things are proper awareness and open conversation. Teens need correct information about contraception and consent, not just be told no. A doctor or counsellor can guide on safe options without any judgement, thats really helpful.
I feel guidance, good values and the right knowledge together protect young ones. Being approachable so they can come to us with anything is so important. Combine that with proper advice from a doctor or counsellor when needed.
In my opinion, guiding children with love and honest talk matters more than scolding. When they trust elders enough to ask questions, they stay safer. A good doctor can also explain things properly to them when the time is right.
Education and communication, plain and simple. When young people understand how things work and feel they can ask without fear, they make safer choices. Schools and parents both have to talk openly instead of avoiding the topic.
