Honestly, keep it simple because once they arrive, u wont get any time for surprises. I just handed him the stick while he was half asleep, his face was hilarious! With twins, that was the last peaceful sleep he had anyway lol.

Just book a nice dinner and give him a baby onesie at the table. No need to overcomplicate with big setups, intimate moments are the best. I did this and we actually ended up crying in the middle of the restaurant.
