The burning in my chest after dinner is unbearable these days, im in third trimester. Lying down makes it ten times worse. How do u all manage it without much trouble?
Heartburn was my worst symptom in third trimester. Eating small meals more often instead of big ones really helped, and i didnt lie down right after eating. Also kept my head propped up at night, that was a lifesaver.
Beta a glass of cold milk used to give me relief, and a little nariyal paani also. Avoid too much spicy and oily food in this time. But if its burning a lot regularly, do ask your doctor for a safe medicine.
Oh i feel you, the burning is awful especially at night. What worked for me was avoiding spicy and fried stuff in the evening and not drinking too much water with meals. Small sips and small meals, thoda thoda karke khao.
Mild heartburn is normal but if it gets severe please ask your gynac before taking any antacid, some are safe some arent. Mine got bad and doctor gave me a pregnancy safe one. Dont just pick something from the chemist on your own.
Between meetings i used to gulp food fast and that made heartburn worse. Slowing down and chewing properly helped a lot. I kept some plain biscuits and cold milk handy at work. Late dinners were the real trigger for me.
Its so common in the later months dear, dont worry. Try sleeping slightly propped up and avoid heavy late dinners. If nothing helps your doctor can give you a safe antacid, just dont suffer quietly.
