My cousin is pregnant and doctor suspects appendix because she has pain on one side. We are all worried about treatment during pregnancy. Has anyone gone through this and what did the doctors do?
This is definitely not a home thing, pls go to hospital fast if u suspect appendicitis. It can get serious in pregnancy. My cousin had surgery for it while pregnant and baby was totally fine after, so dont delay getting checked.
Beta if u even think it could be appendix, dont sit and read, go to the hospital. Doctors manage it carefully for pregnant women. Get the pain seen properly today itself.
My doctor explained appendicitis in pregnancy is usually treated by the surgeons and ob team together, sometimes needs surgery even when pregnant which is done safely. The main thing is dont wait, sharp pain on the right side with fever needs ER right away.
If its real appendicitis u cant treat that at home, it needs proper medical care. Severe pain on right lower side, vomiting, fever, just go to emergency. Dont try any remedy for this one.
See this is a surgical thing, not something we can advise on a forum. Right side stomach pain getting worse plus fever, go hospital now. They handle it safely even in pregnancy.
