Is a corpus luteum cyst an early sign of pregnancy?
My scan showed a corpus luteum cyst and im TTC since few months. Got confused if this means anything, like is it a sign baby is there? thoda googling kar rahi thi but everyone says different. someone explain?
Mere scan me bhi aaya tha and I panicked thinking it is some dangerous cyst. My gynac reassured me it is just a natural temporary cyst that supports early pregnancy. It usually disappears on its own by the second trimester.
Yes, it is physically very common to see this cyst in early pregnancy scans because it produces progesterone to support the pregnancy. However, it's not a definitive diagnostic test for pregnancy. You still need a proper urine test or ultrasound to confirm.
I had this cyst in my early scan too, and my doctor explained it's completely normal and actually helps the baby grow before the placenta takes over. I had to focus on my diet later due to gestational diabetes, but this cyst resolved on its own.
Having PCOS made me super anxious about every scan and cyst. Actually, a corpus luteum cyst is very common and usually supports the early pregnancy by producing progesterone. But don't assume pregnancy just on this, wait for a positive urine test or beta hCG.
Maine toh suna hai yeh bhagwan ka ashirwad hota hai jo bache ko shuru me sambhalta hai. Zyada chinta mat karo, sab acha hoga. Gynac se baat kar lo ek baar tassali ke liye.
Haha, I remember googling 'corpus luteum' at 2 AM during my early days and getting so scared. It's just a normal cyst that does its job and leaves quietly. Save your energy for sleepless nights later and don't worry about this!
It's basically a helper cyst that supports the womb in the early weeks. No need to try any home remedies to dissolve it, it's a good thing! But if you have severe one-sided pain, please consult your doctor immediately.
