My cough is bad and Ascoril D Plus is at home, but I have not taken it because I am pregnant. I will check with doctor first. Did anyone get cough syrup prescribed during pregnancy?
Please dont take any cough syrup like this on your own in pregnancy. Some cough medicines arent advised, especially in certain trimesters. Call your gynac and let them prescribe something safe for your cough.
For a mild cough I tried warm water, honey in warm water and steam first, those are safe. But for any syrup, esp that one, please ask your doctor before taking. Don't guess with medicines now.
I'd really not take it without clearance, cough syrups have multiple ingredients and not all are pregnancy safe. One quick call to your gynac and they'll tell you what's okay for you. Doctor's advice is best here.
I wouldnt self medicate with that. When I had a bad cough my doctor gave me a safe alternative instead. For meds in pregnancy always check with your doctor first, dont risk it.
