My chocolate cravings are next level these days, i finished a whole bar yesterday and felt guilty after. Im in my 5th month. Is a little chocolate actually fine or should i be controlling it?
In moderation, sure. Dark chocolate even has some antioxidants. The catch is sugar and caffeine, so keep portions small. A piece to satisfy the craving is fine, just not a whole slab daily.
I'd say be mindful, chocolate is sugar heavy. With my gestational diabetes I switched to a tiny bit of dark chocolate and watched my readings. If your sugar's normal, small amounts are okay, just don't overdo.
A little chocolate is honestly such a mood lifter, I lived for my evening square. Dark chocolate is the better pick. Just don't make it a daily bar, treat it as a treat and you're good.
Is chocolate good? It's good for the soul at least haha. Bit of dark choc, no guilt. Pregnancy is hard enough, you deserve the little square. Just don't finish the whole Dairy Milk family pack.
