I keep getting mild UTI feeling and my friend said cranberry juice helps. Im in 2nd tri so wanted to check before buying. Anyone had it during pregnancy?
Mere time pe MIL said packed juices are not good, so she used to get fresh cranberry or kokum juice made at home. It really helps with that burning sensation when peeing. But yes, don't drink those sweet canned ones too much.
Actually be careful with the brand you buy, because most packed cranberry juices have crazy amount of sugar. Since I had gestational diabetes, my gynac strictly told me to avoid packaged ones and eat fresh cranberries or get 100% pure unsweetened juice instead.
Yes absolutely! Cranberry juice is super healthy for us during this time. 🍒 Just keep an eye on the sugar content in packaged bottles. Homemade or unsweetened is the best way to go! 😊
When I was at my mum's house, she used to make fresh juices for me every afternoon. She gave me fresh cranberry juice too because it is very good for bladder health. It's safe but having it in moderation is key.
Honestly, I had cranberry juice throughout my second trimester and it was totally fine. It actually helped me avoid those annoying UTIs. Just make sure you get the organic one without too much added sugar.
For mild UTI or heat, cranberry juice is a great natural home remedy to flush out toxins. But if u are having actual burning pain or fever, then home remedies won't work, pls consult your doctor immediately.
Everyone's body is different in pregnancy so I feel you must ask your doctor before starting anything daily. Even for juices, some gynacs prefer you eat whole fruits instead. Better to ask your doc once.
