Got some routine bloodwork done and my crp came slightly raised, now im overthinking it ofcourse. Will obviously ask my gynac at next visit but wanted to know if this is just a normal pregnancy thing. Anyone had this?
CRP can be mildly higher in pregnancy on its own since the body is in a slightly different state. But a notably high value usually points to infection or inflammation that the doctor needs to interpret. Dont read your report alone, show it to your gynac for the right meaning.
My doctor told me a small rise in CRP can be normal in pregnancy, but the number has to be read in context with your symptoms and other tests. She said never panic from one value. So take the report to her, the interpretation is what matters, not just the figure.
When my markers were off, my doctor looked at the whole picture before deciding anything. Please dont try to interpret CRP yourself from google. Just sit with your gynac and let them explain what it means for you.
