I have a filling appointment next week and they said they'll use that blue curing light thingy. Im 14 weeks. Told my dentist im pregnant but still feeling unsure, anyone got dental work done while expecting?
I had a filling done in my second trimester and asked both my dentist and gynac first. They said the curing light is fine and routine dental work is okay, they just avoid unnecessary xrays. Best to tell ur dentist u r pregnant so they take care.
I had some issues in pregnancy so i was extra careful and ran every small procedure past my doctor. Please just check with ur gynac before the appointment, dont assume.
Generally these are considered safe but every case is different. I would just inform both doctors and let them decide the timing. Doctor advice on this is really the best route.
