Someone at home suggested evict syrup for constipation since im struggling a lot these days. But i dont want to take anything without being sure now that im pregnant. Planning to ask my gynac also but wanted to hear if anyone has used it.
Please dont take any syrup like this on ur own in pregnancy, even if it seems harmless. I never took anything without my gynac okaying it. Show her the bottle and ask before u take even one dose, every medicine isnt pregnancy safe.
I cant say if its safe, I only took what my doctor prescribed during pregnancy. For anything new I always messaged her first. Pls do the same here, dont rely on us for a specific syrup.
I wont guess on a specific medicine, thats really a doctor question. Whatever the symptom it is for, just call ur gynac and ask if this particular syrup is okay for u. Self medicating in pregnancy is not worth it.
Some medicines are fine and some arent in pregnancy, and it depends on what its for and which trimester u are in. Dont assume, just confirm with ur gynac or even the pharmacist showing the prescription. Better to ask than risk it.
