My mom keeps telling me to have alsi seeds for omega and all, but my friend said thoda avoid karo in pregnancy. Im confused na, second trimester chal raha hai. Anyone actually had it daily without any issue?
I actually ate a little bit of flaxseed in my third trimester mixed with oats to help with constipation. It worked really well for me! But early on, my doc told me to avoid it, so timing matters a lot.
Honestly, my brain is too fried to remember if flaxseeds are good or bad, but I know my MIL was totally against it in the first few months. Better safe than sorry, just skip them for now and sleep instead!
A small amount like half a teaspoon of roasted flaxseed in your raita is totally fine occasionally. But don't eat spoonfuls of it because it produces heat in the body. If u are in your first trimester, maybe avoid it completely to be safe.
It is completely normal to worry about every single seed and food item, I was also terrified of eating the wrong thing! Flaxseeds are known to affect hormones sometimes, so I completely avoided them to keep my mind at peace. Speak to your doctor once to clear this doubt.
I am in my 5th month and my mom told me not to eat alsi because it is "hot" in nature. Are there any other seeds like chia seeds that are safer? Pls share if your doctor allowed it.
