I love spicy food and our ghar ka khana always has green chili. People keep saying avoid spice in pregnancy. Is thoda chili actually fine or should I cut it fully?
It's safe in moderation, but limit it if you want to avoid severe acidity. Post-C-section, my digestion was very weak so I completely avoided spicy foods for a long time.
My mother always added just a little green chili in my dal for taste. She said it's better than red chili powder which causes more heat and acidity in the body.
I have been eating green chillies in my parathas and now I am scared it might harm the baby. Did anyone else eat spicy food in their 2nd trimester without issues?
I am craving spicy chatpata food so much in my 3rd trimester, but even a tiny bit of green chili gives me crazy heartburn now! Eat it if your stomach can tolerate it, haha.
I totally get why you're worried about every little ingredient, I was the same! Green chillies are fine in small amounts, but skip them if they cause stomach burning or anxiety.
Normal home-cooked food with one or two green chillies is perfectly fine. Just don't eat highly spicy street food or extra chili chutneys to keep your stomach happy.
