I love spicy food and i cant imagine my dal without green chilli yaar. But my mom says cut down on it during pregnancy. Is it actually harmful or can i still have a little? craving spicy these days.
Haan it is fine in normal amounts na, our food has chillies anyway. Just thoda kam if you get heartburn easily. I ate spicy through both my pregnancies.
Honestly I could not give up my spicy food, green chillies and all. In moderation it is fine, just don't go overboard or acidity will get you. I balanced it with curd and lots of water.
Beta, a little is okay but too much spice can give you gas and burning. I always told my daughter to eat moderately and drink chaas with it. Listen to your stomach.
