Have a function coming up and waxing is too painful for me these days. Thinking of using hair removal cream instead but not sure if its safe with the baby. Did any of u use it during pregnancy?
I'm currently in my 5th month and my belly is too big to shave properly! I was also thinking about using hair removal cream, but does anyone know if it can cause rashes because pregnancy skin is so sensitive?
I read somewhere that the strong smell of these creams can cause nausea or headaches, which made me so anxious that I threw my tube away! Please do a small patch test first if you decide to use it, just to be safe.
While there is no definitive proof that these creams harm the baby, the chemicals can definitely irritate your sensitive skin. It is best to consult your dermatologist or gynecologist before using them.
I totally understand wanting to feel clean and comfortable, dear. But our skin gets so sensitive during this time. Maybe try gentle waxing or shaving instead so you don't have to worry about any strong chemicals.
Having PCOS meant I had extra hair growth to deal with even during pregnancy. I avoided chemical creams completely because I didn't want to mess with my skin barrier. Shaving was much safer and easier for me.
Honestly, the chemicals in hair removal creams can absorb into your skin, so please ask your gynac first. It is always better to be cautious and stick to shaving or waxing if your doctor advises against it.
In my third trimester, I can't even see my toes, let alone use hair removal cream! Honestly, I've just given up on grooming for now. But if you must use it, do a patch test first because hormones make skin super sensitive.
Buying hair removal creams constantly is an extra expense when we already have so many medical bills and scan costs. I switched back to standard shaving which is cheap, safe, and doesn't involve any harsh chemicals.
